Be the first to swim in Lake Achensee in the morning, go on a great mountain tour and visit the cows on the alpine pasture, then take our handcart to the lake and go stand-up paddling in the afternoon. With your AchenseeCard, which you receive free of charge as our guests, you can travel to the hiking and alpine paradises with discounts on the mountain railroads. Take the Rofan cable car from Maurach (12 minutes by car) up into the Rofan mountains, with Lake Achensee at your feet, the Karwendel opposite and the Zillertal on the other side. Take the Karwendel cable car from Pertisau (18 minutes by car) into the Karwendel with the Zwölferkopf, rustic paths and views as far as the Grossglockner.
In some areas, you almost feel disadvantaged as a hiker looking for peace and quiet. It's busy everywhere, you meet too many hikers, downhill bikers and bus excursions from time to time ... Lake Achensee is known as far away as Flensburg for being the largest lake in Tyrol. You can even take scheduled boats from one shore to the other! Look forward to water sports of all kinds such as surfing, pedal boating, water biking, wingfoiling, fishing, SUP, diving, sailing and electric boating. Coo, from the Acherl you can quickly reach the state-of-the-art lido with children's lake, large playground and boat rental, on foot, by bike, with the rental e-scooter or with the Acherl handcart.
Another plus point for Achenkirch: even if you don't want to go up the mountains every day, there is plenty to do "down here". For example, take a leisurely cycle along the eastern shore of Lake Achensee to Pertisau. Here you can hop on a boat and sail back to Achenkirch. Tip: You can hire bikes from Busslehner Sports, just 350 m from the Acherl .
Cheers to the e-bike inventors! These things take you even higher and further in the mountains to the really inspiring views and photo points. 250 km of bike trails await you in the Achensee region. Some of them lead you to alpine pastures and huts where you can recharge your batteries and those of your mountain bikes. At the Acherl we also have e-charging stations and a lockable bike garage.
